Kroger Marketplace opens at Fort Worth's Bonds Ranch

FORT WORTH, Texas— Dallas-Fort Worth’s newest Kroger Marketplace officially opens to the public on Friday, October 31. The state-of-the-art store, located at 113 E Bonds Ranch Road, anchors Bonds Ranch Marketplace, a community retail center developed by Weitzman and located at the northeast corner of US-287 and Bonds Ranch Road in the fast-growing northwest Fort Worth market.

The Kroger Marketplace is a 128,000-square-foot store that also features a Kroger fuel station. In addition to the anchor, the center features 45,000 square feet of small-shop and freestanding retail space in multiple buildings designed for a neighborhood-focused mix of shops, dining, services, medical and beauty users.

All told, Bonds Ranch Marketplace totals approximately 173,000 square feet upon completion.

Weitzman is managing the development of Bonds Ranch Marketplace under the direction of David Palmer, executive vice president of development with Weitzman. Michelle Caplan and Gretchen Miller with Weitzman handle leasing for the center.

Kroger’s new Bonds Ranch store includes a Pax & Beneficia café, a Murray’s Cheese counter, full-service grocery, pharmacy and expanded general merchandise, which will include outdoor living products, toys, home goods, and more. The store’s fuel center offers numerous fueling positions and a kiosk offering grab-and-go beverages and snacks.

Bonds Ranch Marketplace is bringing a key retail destination to Northwest Fort Worth, one of the fastest-growing areas in Texas. With a three-mile radius of the center, the population reports 71,313 residents in 23,676 households with an average household income of $147,6 75. With a five-mile radius of the center, the population now totals 213,845 residents in 70,715 households with an average household income of $140,922.

Bonds Ranch Marketplace represents the latest project Weitzman has worked on with Kroger. Others include the Kroger Marketplace-anchored Castle Hills Marketplace in Lewisville and the Kroger Signature-anchored centers Windhaven Plaza and Legacy Drive Village in Plano. Weitzman and Kroger also have worked together on several centers in the Houston market, the most recent being the Kroger Marketplace-anchored Woodshore Marketplace in Clute.
