Professional Background
Kelly Murphy, an accounting professional with more than two decades of experience, is the Director of Business Transformation with Weitzman, one of the largest retail-focused commercial real estate services firms based in Texas. In this position, Murphy worked to improve the company’s workflow by improving how our departments and systems operate together. The role bridges leadership, operations, IT, and other business units to identify challenges, design practical solutions, and implement improvements that make the organization more efficient, accurate, and collaborative — all in support of the company’s long-term growth.
Murphy joined Weitzman in 1998 and has held multiple roles with the company, including accounting for development properties, and Business Analyst I Corporate Accounting and AP Manager.
Honors and Awards
Murphy is a Beta Gamma Sigma honor society member, which she earned during her MBA program. She is also the recipient of the Weitzman Employee’s Choice Award, a company-wide peer recognition, and Weitzman’s Above and Beyond Award, which is department-level recognition.
Education
Murphy received a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University – Commerce, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Art from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
